For Ruben

As many of you may already know, yesterday we lost Ruben. He was a great friend, brother, and so much more to many people. There was never a dull moment with my cousin. He knew how to put a smile on anyone's face even when it was probably hard for him to smile. He worked hard and was trying to make a better life for himself. He had a beautiful and unique soul and will be dearly missed. The pain of his departure has affected so many so far. Just writing this has been difficult which is why it took a while for this page to be set up. The family has been devastated by this news but no one more than Rubens mother, my aunt, Lorena. It's been a difficult experience for her to say the least. And the family is trying to find any way to help her out. That's why I approached her yesterday to ask her if she needed help with the costs of the funeral. She needs all the help she can get. Ruben would have wanted it this way. I know him and his love for his mother and the last thing he would have wanted was to see his mom struggling with such a burden. So I ask, please look into your heart and give. Anything you can.
