Vet Bills for Murphy (& beyond)

On 6/26/14, as my husband & I were settling into our flight home from my mother's funeral - my cellphone rang. It was the vet calling to tell us that our dog Murphy was diagnosed with stomach bloat while staying at the animal hospital. She needed to be rushed into emergency surgery to save her. Bloat (or GVD) is when the stomach bascially become overly distended and flipped. She made it through the surgery & was able to come home today, but she is showing weakness in her back legs... basically, she is not out of the woods yet.

Of course the shock of her getting sick & the high medical bills came on top of my mother just passing away on 6/22/14... complicating our financial burdens even more.

It is with a very bashful heart that we ask you to help if you can. We have done everything we can and to be honest, we have just about exhausted all of our resources to cover these bills.

No donation is too small and every penny will be used to cover the vet bills and medications for Murphy. We are not usually ones to ask for help, but when it comes to matters of the heart... there really is nothing we won't do.

ps: We will post periodic updates on how she is doing. And if there is any money left over we will donate it to our local pet shelter so other animals can find their furever homes.
