As a little girl, I always wanted to attend Space Camp, but the cost can definitely be a deterrent. Space Camp is the ultimate educational experience that illuminates real-world applications of STEM in the aerospace world. In the week long camp, students work together to solve mission scenarios and even get to attend lectures taught by real astronauts. Enrollment in Space Camp cost approximately $1100 per student, not including transportation expenses.
As an Aerospace Engineer; inspiring and supporting the next generation are all very important to me. My own journey was not filled with people who looked like me, but to be able to be representation for the next generation means I want to see them go even farther than, even myself will go. The earlier they can start seeing what’s possible, the earlier they can start working toward it.
Let’s join together in inspiring the next generation to dream bigger, and do even more. Donate today to the AstroGirls Scholarship fund to help send a few young ladies to space camp.
This scholarship will be open to any young girl that is interested, but under-represented minorities will be given preference. Applications for the scholarship will open April 2020.
Please feel free to contact Tiffany N. Davis with any questions about this scholarship or space camp. If you know of a girl that is interested please email [email redacted]
