Starting this fund to see where it goes.
I lost both of my beautiful parents in 2016 to cancer within 6 months of each other. My mother to colon cancer and my father to lung cancer. I am a healthcare worker myself, I am a radiologist practitioner assistant (RPA/RA).
The primary goal is to raise money for cancer patients who cannot afford something they may need, whether it be paying bills they cannot afford or something personal to help with their day to day living. I would also like to expand this to helping patients and their families in general if possible eventually. At first, the money will be distributed to patients in the Meadville/Yolanda G. Barco Cancer Institute and surrounding area. If all goes well, I would love to expand to a broader area. Every bit helps!
I know from personal and professional experience it's the simple things that can make the biggest difference sometimes. Not to mention the smile you can put on someone's face...that is truly priceless.
100% of proceeds will go directly to patients.
Updates will also be posted of/about the recipients.
