Financial Assistance with funeral & Medical Bills

Donation protected

Robert Payson “Sonny” Davis, passed away Saturday August 15th, 2020 after a long battle with COVID-19 in the ICU at Advent Health Hospital in Sebring. He was only 55 years old, and leaves behind his incredibly courageous wife Kim, and their two sons Trevor and Brandon. Bob was a loyal son, devoted father, loving brother, and beloved husband. Bob was loved by everyone who knew him and will be terribly missed.

Brandon was also effected with the COVID-19 pandemic. He was in the same hospital with his father on August 1st. Brandon came home on September 11th, he has a long road of recovery ahead. He is still having breathing issues and requires an oxygen tank. After being in the hospital for over a month Brandon has a lot of medical bills and future follow ups with his Doctors.

Sonny was a member of the New Beginning Church of God in Fort Meade. Sonny loved music, and was very active in the church music program, sharing his voice with others, both as a soloist and in the church choirs. He was a man that enjoyed being around people and making others around him smile with his laughs and huge grins, always wanting to help others.

Kim and Bob met in September 1986, Kim was only 18 years old. They married in January, 1989, Brandon was born in 1991, Trevor was born in 1994. Kim and Bob first lived in Tampa,  then moved to Auburndale. They finally settled down in Fort Meade to raise their family.  They worked opposite shifts for many years so they could raise their boys and be present in their upbringing.  Kim still remembers their first date like it was yesterday. Bob went to pick up Kim in his truck, he brought a portable T.V.,  and Hungry Howie's pizza. They went to his family's cow pasture and they sat in the back of the pickup truck watching T.V. and eating pizza. Kim says it was the perfect first date, just the two of them, no distractions. A dinner and a movie under the stars. The love that Bob and Kim had, was one of a kind.

This money will go to alleviate the financial burden that comes with the sudden passing of a loved one, and to provide support to his wife Kim through these deeply troubling times.

At this time, we would like to support the Davis family in the most fitting manner possible as we continue, as a community, to power through this devastating COVID-19 pandemic.  For those looking to offer their support to Bob's family, we ask that you consider making a donation to this GoFundMe campaign, and encourage you to please share with your network of friends and family.  We realize that offering financial support to the Davis family during this uncertain time may be difficult for some. Please know that any amount is appreciated tremendously as we work closer to reaching our fundraising goal.

Funds raised will be used as follows:

First $25,000: to cover funeral costs, medical bills, other misc. costs of living expenses.

Second $25,000: Brandon's current oxygen costs and ongoing medical bills as additional rehab is required for his recovery.

Thank you all. Please stay healthy and safe. We are all in this together.
