Assisting Veterans with Transitional Employment

Transitioning from the military is tough, especially when it comes to working for civilian employers who are not familiar with the service.  The objective here would be to employ veterans while they seek permanent employment or are enrolled in school. The main purpose behind this is to ease the transition as it would be primarily operated by prior service military members. When a veteran joins the workforce, he/she may find it difficult to speak to others about their military career and I am trying to find a way to close that gap.  We know the lingo and we know what type of environment they are coming from and we are prepared to hit the ground running right alongside them. We are trying to make it easier for veterans to be able to work and talk about their professional careers both prior and in the future with other service members while steadily integrating them into the civilian workforce.

We are looking to purchase multiple pick up and delivery routes from FedEx Ground. The work is relatively simple and can be taught in a short period of time. Not to mention that the veterans will be paid a daily rate that allows them to be financially stable throughout the transition.

The money that we raise here will be spent on purchasing the routes, vehicles, uniforms and anything else we need to get this off the ground. The more routes we can purchase the more veterans we can ultimately employ. We are looking to purchase a minimum of five routes with FedEx Ground. Each Route can potentially employ up to 10 veterans! I know to some that may not seem like a lot of people but some is far better than none.

This means a lot to me because I fell hard when I got out of the service and I know others who were in the exact same boat as me.  I was stuck searching for work in a world that has become incredibly competitive. I have seen how the business works and I am confident I can help grow it to a point where if a veteran is not sure what they want to do after they transition out of the military then they can always find a place with us until they figure out what they want to do.

The veterans out there are always going to be in this fight and I am looking for people to be on their side. So, I ask you, will you please join us and make this happen?

To be completely transparent, if we are unsuccessful in reaching our goal in one years time then all funds raised will be donated to the Department of Veterans Affairs.  So either way we are still going to do some good.
