Assistance with mobility chair lift for vehicle

My name is Amanda. In April 2018 I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinsons Disease. At that time I was in outpatient therapies. I was able to walk with a walker or cane depending on the day.. Within the last year I have undergone 6 surgeries and several hospital stays. I currently have to use a GJ Tube for my feeds (this was one of the surgeries). I am a very high fall risk (16 times in the last 12 months). In November I was hospitalized in the ICU when my throat closed due to the Parkinsons. Given all the time being immobile in the hospital during that month as well as the surgeries to follow, my physical therapy had to be put on hold. That caused my muscle function to deteriorate. For that reason I have a mobility scooter to help me get around. Hopefully within the next few months I will be approved to start physical therapy. The goal is to be able to get to where I can use a walker around the house. And then when away from the house use the mobility scooter. This is because if I was to use the walker and my muscles get tired I could easily fall. I am very lucky to have Medicaid disability insurance to cover my medical bills as well as my mobility assistance aids. However the insurance will not cover any kind of chair lift for my vehicle. Currently my husband has been taking the chair apart and putting it into car whenever we go places. But when I am able to get to where I can transfer to outpatient therapy instead of home health, I will be able to drive myself. The problem with that scenario is that I am not able to get this scooter into the car due to the weight. For that reason I decided to start a GoFundMe. There are a few chair lifts that I would be able to fit to my car, both of which will not require the chair to be taken completely apart. All of the mobility lifts for my vehicle and scooter range around $2000 This will help me to have a sense of freedom finally!
