This is my brother's story...

Hello Everyone!

"The time has come in my life that I need to ask for assistance from others. I would love to share my story as to why I am seeking help at this time.

In November of 2017, the hospital I work in mandated both the flu and pneumonia vaccines to all employees. In December of 2017, I started getting sicker as the days went by. I had told my wife that if I died to remember how much I love her. She took me to urgent care, where the triage nurse was having trouble finding a pulse. They took me back immediately and brought the doctor right in. Right before the doctors eyes, I became more weaker and lifeless. He phoned the ER and urged my wife to take me straight there. I was hooked up to a heart monitor and blood work was done along with a chest x-ray. I had full-blown pneumonia, Sepsis, kidney failure, and my organs were shutting down, including my heart. I was hospitalized for a week and discharged to be off for the remainder of December. I am the main source of income, as my wife is on disability from an auto accident from 2008. This is where things all started to go downhill financially.

Fast forwarding...on July 13, 2018, I started experiencing kidney stone pain. I continued working that day and I continued to have the pain all weekend long. Knowing that I am the main source of income, I postponed seeking treatment until July 17, 2018. I went to the ER and was admitted because I had 3 stones blocking the Ureter tube, which was causing my urine to back up and poison my body. I had surgery on July 18th to have the stones removed. I was discharged on July 20th, and I had to use my vacation time in order to get my pay. On Tuesday, July 24th my wife had to rush me back to the ER, at which point I was admitted again, but for an issue, I had no knowledge of, and in addition to the kidney stones that had dropped in the tube again. I was sent for a CT scan to locate the stones that were causing my pain. During the scan reading, the radiologist saw the life-threatening issue that was about to take my life if emergency surgery was not done. The condition is Intussusception, which is where the bowels/intestines telescope back into itself, killing the bowels. The hospital didn't have a doctor on staff that could perform this surgery so I was transferred an hour away to the Phoenix Hospital. By 5 AM on July 25TH,  I was in surgery to have this fixed and to have sections of my intestines/bowels removed. The doctor had to cut down my chest and stomach this time. On July 26th I was back in surgery for them to remove more kidneys stones. I was discharged on July 29th and was off work unpaid, until I returned back to work on August 20th. I did not receive my short term disability until a week later. Even then, I received no money as the hospital seized that for the hospital bills I had just incurred that my health insurance didn't cover. Our plan is the 80/20 co-pay plan. Due to the fact that I am an employee of the hospital they have taken ALL of my paychecks for the entire month of September, totaling over $1,700, leaving me absolutely no money to pay my bills, buy gas for my car so that I can work, or buy food for my family.  Since December of 2017 my wife has gone weekly to our local food bank, she has reached out to our local help groups, along with Salvation Army for assistance. We are soon to be homeless due to the inability to pay our rent which is $1,470.00 and its due October 1st. We are facing having our electricity turned off and our water. After my illness in December of 2017, we opted to turn off our home phone, my wife's cell phone, internet, and cable in order to cut our monthly costs. But as many people know, once you fall behind, it's extremely difficult to get back up without a lending hand. My wife has pawned her wedding rings and has just about everything possible listed in our local Buy-Sell pages and OfferUp. We are trying our best to raise money on our own, but sadly you can't make folks buy your items. Which leads us to this last option of reaching out across the internet.

I am praying that you feel compelled to donate something to us. Any and all help you can supply is greatly appreciated, more than you already know. May God return your donation triple for being a blessing to a husband and wife who are in dire need of help. "
