Assistance for Hurry Curry of Tokyo Employees

Many restaurant employees live paycheck to paycheck, are uninsured and are among the most vulnerable members of our community.   The upcoming closure of our Sawtelle restaurant at the end of February will put over 15  dedicated employees out of work which will devastating. With losing our lease and a 30 day notice from our landlord we will be ending a 33 year old business at our Sawtelle location which has meant so much to our staff and customers. Already we have had an overwhelming positive outreach from our customer base asking to help. 


In response, we are launching a fundraising                campaign to provide critical support to our                 employees who are really hurting during this extraordinary times. 100% of the funds we receive through this campaign will go directly to fund employees that are furloughed and especially for those that are caring for children. 

We are in the business of creating community          through food and never has there been a time where that is needed more.  It’s been our privilege to serve the Sawtelle and West LA community for the last 33 years and we are grateful for the continued  support of our loyal guests. We humbly make this request to those who are looking for a way to help our community members get through this crisis.
