Assistance and prayers for CJ.

This fundraiser was made by me: CJs mom, Patricia Mizell. We are trying to set up a small aid fund to assist in his MIS-C recovery. The goal of this fundraiser is to help with medical bills and time off of work for my husband since he will have to take FMLA. At this time we do not know how long we will be in the hospital or how much this will all cost so I hope I’m doing this right. Our doctors don’t know much about MIS-C since it is a relatively new disease. However it is very similar to Kawasaki disease which is very rare. The main difference from what I understand is MIS-C is caused by covid infection and/or exposure. So far CJ has not had any organ damage but he has had dilation in the arteries of his heart which will need to be monitored even after we leave the hospital for a time. We are very very lucky and so thankful for all the prayers we have received for our son and family. As a mom, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving my son and my family enough to pray and think about us during this difficult time. I know the prayers of friends and family saved my daughters life when she had bacterial meningitis a few years ago. Please keep us in your thoughts and especially your prayers!
