<div>My son, <strong>Travis, age 52</strong>, had been very ill for six months. He had lupus since 2008. Travis's difficult journey started in May when he got sepsis from a gallbladder infection. He had his gallbladder removed in July. He contracted listeria in September.

<div>Listeria caused a brain abscess. The listeria grew after a month of IV antibiotics. The brain abscess caused the loss of mobility in his left arm and leg. An aneurysm in his aorta artery grew significantly and was bleeding. <strong>He passed away on November 21, 2025.</strong>
