My name is Liz, and I’m raising funds for my niece Nevaeh. She spent her summer babysitting long hours with the promise of being paid. Instead, the family deleted her from their time-tracking app and gave excuses — even lying about not being paid at their own jobs (despite promotions posted by their employer).
Nevaeh worked hundreds of hours, counting on that money to cover her college semester and her first apartment rent due Sept. 1. She just moved into her first apartment and is about to begin her second year of college. She is owed $4,194.40, and with the family recently evicted, there’s little chance she’ll recover it directly.
Nevaeh is soft-spoken and too sweet to confront them or ask for help herself, so I’m stepping in to advocate for her. She showed up, did her job, and deserves to be treated fairly. Every donation helps her move forward.
