Mick has a genetic disorder called familial adenomatous polyposis (f.a.p.) that cause polyps to form in the colon and carries an almost 100% chance of colon cancer. Unfortunately the only way to prevent cancer, is to remove the colon.
He underwent a total proctocolectomy Monday, August 11th and is still currently in the hospital. Hes had some complications along the way. He will be out of work for a minimum of two weeks after he is released, and possibly more depending on his body when returning on light duty only. He has been the sole provider for over 3 years now. His wife has been doing deliveries to try to bring in income, but its not going to be enough.
We are hoping to get enough funds together to help them stay afloat without the added stress of financial issues. Getting their rent paid and keeping food in the house are the biggest stresses. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated. Even if all you can do is send prayers Thank you so very much.
