How do you say goodbye to your best friend?!

One minute you're on the lake enjoying everything God and nature have to offer. You're planning your wedding and talking about the upcoming week.

The next thing you know, you're choosing which urn would be the nicest to put the ashes in of the man you plan on spending the rest of your life with.

In the blink of an eye, life can be very unfair. You're just getting over almost losing your grandson, and the next thing you know, you've lost the love of your life. The one person that knows you better than anyone else, the one person you turn to when you feel life is turning against you. The one that reminds you to turn your alarm on your phone so you're not late for work in the morning. The one that brings you lunch or just calls to check in and say hello. I'm thinking about you.

How do you move on knowing those phone calls will never come again? I don't think you ever do. I think you just learn to get through the day with your new "normal."
