Assist Karen in Honoring Her Late Husband

Hi, my name is Karen and I am fundraising for funeral costs for my late husband. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer in September of 2023. We managed to get through treatments, but then 3 months after treatments, he was diagnosed with metastatic cancer! It had spread to his spine, adrenal glands, liver, bone, and brain!! 6 weeks later, on August 30, 2024, he passed away peacefully at his home! While my husband was a member and worked for a local union for over 30 years, with the exception of 5 years he spent in Texas, the union denied his life insurance because he was retired and on disability at the time and was “not” an active member! This has left us in a pickle for funeral and surrounding costs.
