Assist Carol Gould -- Major Repair & Building Work

Carol Gould is an accomplished journalist, political commentator, and novelist who is now suffering with Stage IV breast cancer. She is struggling to pay everyday living expenses such as plumbing and appliance repair. In addition, she needs funds to pay her share of obligations on major urgent structural repairs to her building as a Freeholder -- the British term for an apartment-house co-op system. Someone dealing with the pain and discomfort caused by harsh chemotherapy and cancer should not have these worries plaguing her mind.

My connection with Carol is three-fold. When she ran a fan club for the star of a popular TV show in the late 1960s, I became a member of that club. Her newsletters meant a lot to me, as I had just lost my mother to breast cancer.  Secondly, Carol went to the same high school that I later attended -- the Philadelphia High School for Girls. And lastly -- I am a breast cancer survivor myself, and I have been through chemotherapy, radiation, assorted surgeries, and a number of drugs.

Please give what you can to a fine person who, through no fault of her own, has fallen into bad times. Thank you.
