Dear Friends, Family and strangers,

Kumar and I are displaced because of the Eaton Canyon fire. We have not been allowed to return to our neighborhood. From what we've heard, our house is the only one standing in a neighborhood of ruble. This is heartbreaking for us. We feel for our neighbors and the place we've called homr for 14 years. We left home in the early hours of Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Kumar and I grabbed our cat, my Dad's ashes, and some items and left Altadena. We were certain we would return. That this evacuation would be temporary.

That is unlikely at this time. Our neighborhood is not the same. Our neighbors, friends and family are not there. We have all been displaced. Until we are able to return, we could use some help.

We are looking for housing and would appreciate any assistance to help us with that transition.
