Assist Brigid with Her Father's Final Journey

Thank you for taking time to read this. My name is Anne, and I’m Brigid Becker's best friend. I’ve started this GoFundMe on her behalf to help cover the cost of funeral expenses for her father.

Brigid's 102-year-old father, Sylvester, has lived with Brigid for the past 8 years, and just recently, his health rapidly declined. He was put on hospice about 3 weeks ago, and passed away early this morning. Sylvester was born in 1921, lived through the Great Depression, served in WWII, and watched our world change throughout the decades. Unfortunately, he had no life insurance, so I'm hoping to raise funds to help cover the upcoming funeral costs. Money is tight for Brigid and her husband, as it is for everyone, but we were just hoping to get a little help to ease their costs during this emotional and stressful time.

His burial plot is in Colorado, but they are responsible for covering the cost to move him from Arizona to Colorado. Brigid and her husband will obviously need to travel there for the funeral. So, between Sylvester’s transport, lost wages, and their travel expenses, this is going to cost them a lot of money that they just don't have at this time. I know everyone is struggling right now, and this is something we NEVER thought we would do…it just feels wrong asking for money.
