I have been a nurse for 28 years but in the hospital for 40 years. They're always having us take vaccines since we deal with so many sick people. At the time I took a Pneumovax, not realizing that my immune system was compromised. I ended up with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which is an autoimmune disease where my immune system attacks my nerves and muscles. NC doesn't require malpractice insurance, so I can't sue my PCP, and my short-term insurance is running out. It takes 3 to 12 months to recover from this disease, but I will have it forever.

In May, I will have to move out of my apartment because I won't be able to afford it. I was working full-time, and now I can't work at all. I'm doing rehabilitation but not sure when I'll be back to normal. I just need some help to get me back on my feet again. Thanks much.
