I’m from Mississippi and This year in April, 2020 I moved into my very first home at the age of 25. My whole life I had been preparing for the day that I was able to live on my own and I thought That I was ready, but no one can teach you the lessons that life will. I took a leap of faith and trusted god throughout the process, I was so happy and don’t get me wrong I’m still happy and I’m still trusting god, but it has been very hard to keep up with the bills. I moved during the pandemic around the time the first stimulus checks were sent out. At that time I was working at Sonic-Drive in, a fast food restaurant. It was one of the worst jobs I’ve ever worked in. The job wasn’t helping a whole lot, but it got some of my bills paid. In August, the car dealership shut my engine off because I was one month behind on my car note which was due in June during the pandemic, but at that time they weren’t answering their phone For me to pay it and I ended up forgetting about it so without any warning they turned the engine off. it had me thinking that my starter Engine wasn’t working so I spent money on car repairs that I actually could have used on mycar note which was already due in August at the time. So all together that was
$600 and my rent was due as well which is $775. My income was only $800/month  So all of that put me behind on bills and I ended up losing my job because of my car being shut down. The Mississippi department of Employment Security  stopped my unemployment Benefit payments because I wasn’t working any more during the pandemic, which is crazy because it’s “UNEMPLOYMENT”.  After that i did work for temp agencies, which didn’t last long, and now I am a part time Personal Care Attendant for seniors. I’m thankful and very grateful to be working again, but it’s not enough To keep up right now. I am behind at least 1500 in bills and I don’t get food stamps so any little change that I earn braiding hair as a side hustle I use for food to feed my family. When I finally getstable income, I plan to go back to school for my cosmetology license and open my own salon and boutique. I want to sell wigs and hair products for alopecia clients and celebrities across the nation In-store and Online. If you have an Instagram account follow me
