Help our family save our house!!

My name is Lauren and my 3 sisters and I are setting this fund up for our mother and step-father.  On January 8th, our mom was diagnosed with something called cervical dystonia.  Basically, her head is stuck in one position and will not move..along with some mild pain on occassion.  So far, no treatment has been successful.  Then, at the end of May, my step-father (Nick) cut his toes off with the lawn mower.  He had to get a partial amputation and cannot put any weight on his foot for at least six months and possibly longer.  WHAT FRUSTERATES ME IS #1 he had signed up for Aflac earlier that year and it would have gone into effect on June 1st (3days after the accident), #2 he is a pastor at our church and also works with a company thats works with Autistic children and their families but since he cant work---he doesnt get paid and doesnt get to keep his insurance!!  Therfore my parents have no income, but are still obligated to pay he bills.  #3 They were denied any assistance through the welfare office (why? NO CLUE)  #4 Nick applied for disability but was told his chances are not very good because it is awarded to individuals that are permanently disabled. (And even if they approve it, he wont receive a check until December).  We shut off the phones, internet, etc. to get rid of some bills but there is still the mortgage, food, power, etc....  As of now, my parents will probably have to move into the basement of my (and family's) house.  IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME that a man, hard-working man, Pastor, Father of 4, Grandfather of 5, smartest person I know, man who puts everyone else before himself, man who helped raise children like they were his own, man who got a paper route to make extra money when my mother got hurt, man who has given SO MUCH money to other people in need when he has never had the means to, and a man who did everything possible to make sure that his family was taken care of --is now going to lose his house, his job, his car, well pretty much everything JUST BECAUSE HE CAN'T WORK until he recovers.  How come there are people that sit at home on welfare for no real reason but my step-dad can't get any sort of support for even just a couple months so that our family can stay afloat and save the house that we grew up in?  It makes no sense to me! All we can do is keep praying and hope that any of you can help.  My parents will probably be angry at us for this because there are many other entries that are WAY MORE DESERVING but I cant just sit around and watch my family lose everything ...Thank you
