Help Asilo Repair Marillac Hall

Donation protected
When I went home to visit my mother on her 89th birthday, I noted that Marillac Hall was infested with termites and need repairs very badly.  My mother has been staying in Asilo de Molo during the past 5 years.  Asilo de Molo is providing my mother a home while all three of us her children cannot be with her in her old age. She is healthier and happier and survived a stroke while living in this home for the aged.

I need your help to raise $3000 for Asilo de Molo so they could repair Marillac Hall.  This hall serves as the main center of activities and functions for the elderly residents, the DC sisters and the staff of Asilo de Molo.  This is where they hold  pastoral activities, host charitable and spiritual events.

Asilo de Molo was established in 1912 as an orphanage for the abandoned and neglected children in the streets of Iloilo City, Philippines. The institution was entrusted to the Daughters of Charity (DC) of St. Vincent De Paul for management and operations. In 1934, a home for the aged to care for the poor elderly was added. Eighty-eight years after its foundation, the orphanage was no longer operational and the orphans were transferred to other DC orphanages. Today, Asilo is the only charitable institution in the island of Panay, Philippines that provides residential care for the elderly who are abandoned and neglected. My mother is one of the very few paying clients of Asilo. Living with the abandoned and neglected elderly of the community is helping her live a fullfilling life in her old age.

Let us make a difference by providing a safe gathering place for the elderly in Asilo de Molo so they could continue their day-to-day activities and feel the love of the community around them. Help me raise $3000 dollars so we could help Asilo repair Marillac Hall very soon. Asilo de Molo will be able to continue their mission of providing care and development for the abandoned and neglected older persons.
