Help us bring art to Philadelphia youth! For every $35 donated we will provide one child in an underserved neighborhood with a box of quality art materials.
About Art Sphere Inc.
Art Sphere is a Philadelphia-based non-profit established to teach art to inner-city, low-income youth. Many of our families are unable to provide their children with exposure to art or even have the resources to purchase art supplies.
In today’s stressful environment, we know that many youth are struggling with social isolation, which may continue to linger even after the schools open up. Making art has been shown to be therapeutic and not only fosters creativity but also brings joy and a respite from day-to-day fears and concerns.
During these hard times, many children suffer from sadness and anxiety. Art is what allows them to express themselves. This can be through music, drawing, and even dance. Art Sphere wants these children to be able to express themselves in any way possible.
Reaching our donation goal and being able to provide amazing art materials will not just allow children to have their imaginations run free, it will also save them. Many children are suffering from sadness and maybe even depression through these times and their thoughts are unknown. Art is the one way these children can express how they're feeling, whether that be through drawing, music, etc.
Please help us with a donation to purchase an array of art supplies, such as crayons, markers, pencils, rulers, child-friendly scissors, even paper, which we will distribute to low-income families through our partners who work with these families, such as food shelves or nurses through social service agencies who visit the homes. The supplies will be boxed up and each child in the home will receive a box. Imagine the joy in having your own, wonderful, and new art supplies!
