Hello! My name is Ashton R. Murphy, and I am reaching out to you with great excitement and a heartfelt request. I am a dedicated hockey player, and I am on a mission to pursue my dreams in this exhilarating sport. I need your support to make this dream a reality.

My passion for hockey ignited at the age of 3 when I attended my first Washington Capitals Hockey game. I vividly remember expressing to my mom my deep desire to be out there on the ice, playing the game that captured my heart. Despite being too young to play hockey, my parents signed me up for ice skating lessons, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong love for the sport.

The turning point in my hockey journey occurred when I joined the Bowie Hockey Club and participated in the program sponsored by the Washington Capitals – "So You Think You Want to Play Hockey." Since then, I have been an active member of the Jr. Black Bears Hockey Club and currently play on a traveling team.

Now, I am thrilled to share that I have been invited to join a summer hockey travel team called Hockey Players of Color (HPOC). This incredible movement focuses on highlighting, promoting, and supporting hockey players of color globally and at every level. I will have the opportunity to travel to exciting places like Nevada, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, and more, to play and continue developing in a sport I truly love.

However, embarking on this journey comes with financial challenges. I am on a mission to raise $7,000 to cover essential costs such as fees, training, travel, housing, and various other miscellaneous expenses for upcoming tournaments and events. This is where your support becomes crucial.
