On June 10, 2025, our close-knit community at Ashobi Corner on Blackhall Road in Freetown was struck by a devastating fire that swept through our neighborhood, destroying homes, displacing families, and leaving heartbreak in its wake.
In just a few hours, dozens of families lost everything—their homes, personal belongings, cherished memories, and their sense of safety. Many are now left with nothing but the clothes on their backs and are unsure of where to turn next.
While we are grateful that there was no loss of life, the road to recovery will be long and challenging. These families do not have home insurance to cover their immediate needs. That’s why we are coming together to ask for your help.
