Merkel Family: In Honor of Ashlyn

It is with heavy hearts we create this GoFundMe campaign today.  On January 30, 2018, Ashlyn Merkel, very unexpectedly, after a few days of fighting an illness, received her wings and entered into our Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Ashlyn, age 3, is survived by her parents Joseph and Misty Merkel, and her brother Kayden who is 5.  

Joe and Misty are very compassionate, caring, loving, and active parents! They are also compassionate, caring and loving educators in Berkeley County Schools. Joe is a 6th grade science teacher at Mountain Ridge Middle School and Misty is a speech pathologist that services many locations. Each of them strive every day to reach out and touch the lives of our children in this community and school system.

We are so deeply saddened for Joe and Misty. We can't begin to imagine the amount of grief and hurt they are feeling at this time. 

The goal of this GoFundMe is to assist Joe and Misty financially during this time of difficulty and to help with funeral related expenses. Please join us in helping her parents honor her life during this unimaginable time.
