Ashlie Nohl Scholarship Fund

Ashlie was a nurse in the Espanola Emergency Department for over a decade. She was a fantastic nurse who was passionate about her job. Through the years she cared for thousands of patients serving the community of Espanola and surrounding areas. In addition to caring for her patients, she enjoyed teaching soon-to-be nurses precepting them through their nursing program; as well as taking new hires under her wing to teach them the ropes of the ER. Ashlie was not only an amazing nurse she was a true friend with a heart of gold; always willing to help a friend in need. She had the most unique personality; always able to make the ones around her laugh with her stories about when she was in the military, adventures with her dogs and other day to day events.
To celebrate the life and legacy of our friend, family member, fellow nurse the Espanola Emergency Department staff is starting a Nursing Scholarship Fund in Ashlie's name at her alma mater School of  Nursing at the Santa Fe Community College. Please donate to help us establish this Scholarship Fund honoring her legacy. For additional information please contact us on our email established for this account or through our liaison Valerie  Merl. With the permission of Ashlie’s family to establish this scholarship Valerie, ER staff and Ashlie’s family are working closely together along with Santa Fe Community College to choose the qualifications for the potential scholarship recipient. We would like to choose nursing students who embody Ashlie’s spirit and passion for nursing with a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
