The short version:
Ashley was diagnosed with stage III colorectal cancer in January 2018. Over the next 6 months, she underwent radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and resection surgery to remove the tumor. This left her with a temporary ileostomy and was followed up over the next 6 months with recovery and more chemotherapy. During this next series of chemotherapy treatments, we learned that there was a leak in her large intestine from the surgery site.

In December, Ashley had a second surgery to repair the leak. Unfortunately, in March 2019 doctors discovered that the repair was not successful. Ashley will now need to undergo another major resection surgery in one last effort to repair her large intestine, followed by (hopefully) a reversal of her ileostomy.

Since the very beginning of this journey, our friends and family have been so incredibly supportive every step of the way. We had hoped to move forward into a new season of life in 2019, but now it seems like that will need to wait just a little while longer.

As a result, we have made the very difficult decision to continue raising funds as we look ahead to another challenging season. Please consider partnering with us on this journey through praying, sharing, and/or giving.

Thank you so much for your love and support!
