Ashley's Place Grand Opening

We have had more than one person ask if it would be ok to set up a gofundme page to help with the Grand opening of our Organization and to help get the new year off to a great start. We felt rather than saying yes to just one of those offering we would take their ideas and do this as a group.                                                                  "Get Away and Experiece Paradise at Ashley's Place Inc." - As an inspiring , non judgmental group working together as a team to create a positive outlook on life given any circumstances. We want to set a great example for youth and children by giving them the opportunity to share their ideas , be a part of making a difference in the lives of others , teaching life enriching lessons while sending blessings to others through the words of God. We do this while keeping the memories alive and active of our beautiful Ashley Rachel Doucet RECE , CYW. Ashley had a passion to make a difference in the lives of children of all ages, we will continue help make that difference <3 Our group was created in January 2014 with the guidance of Rosemarie Montgomery a consultant with the Chatham Kent Small Business Centre . Many of our programs have been active since 2014 including House warming baskets for Youth from group homes or foster homes turning 18 and moving on their own. Another program started recently with Chatham Kent Children Services is our stuffies with flashlights for young children taken from unsafe or dangerous situations and taken to safety. We have had a great year being involved with the homeless just this year alone we  have collected and filled with necessities well over 200 pack packs or large bags and delivered to shelters or places housing homeless. We ended the year with a "Day of Christmas Blessings " at the Windsor Down Town Mission homeless shelter , a day that took our breath away. The day consisted of our guests getting pampered with manicures, nail painting, hair styles, crafts, snacks and hot chocolate bar, lots of gift givaways...... Many of  Our volunteers also visit youth centres, nursing homes, assistant living homes, hospitals, woman's centres ..... providing activities, gifts, hand made inspirational cards or just for a visit. Our activities and programs are very hands on including regular monthly visits to Youth Centres where youth create, share their ideas and help us put them to life. This year two very special things happened, we received our certificate of incorporation and are now a registered Not for Profit organization. We incorporated Federal because many of our members streatch right across Canada which give us reason to extend some of our programs to their areas. Even more exciting for us is the fact that we found the perfect location to actually open our first " Get Away and Experience Paradise at Ashley's Place" and now have an address !!  Our name was taken from three ideas given soon after Ashley's passing,  Ashley's Place, Ashley's Get Away and Ashley's Paradise rather than choosing one we combined the three to make the perfect way to describe our place. We will put our name to life by providing a special place where our goal will be to bring as much of the feelings we expect our loved ones are enjoying in Heaven to earth. We will continue with everyone of our programs we have been working on over the past 4 years and look forward to so many more in the new year and for many years to come. The funds raised here will not only provide our members and communities with a very speical grand opening of Ashley's Place but also help to get the new year of to the best start  possible.
