On February 23rd 2017 at 0732am Ashley Wagner's life changed forever. While traveling in her vehicle to the train station for her daily commute to New York City, where she is finishing her final semester in college and an intern pursuing her dream in the fashion industry, a large piece of metal broke free from a dump truck and rocketed through her windshield before striking her in the head.
Doctors at the trauma center were able to save her life but not before facial reconstructive surgery that included permanently removing part of her skull and implanting titanium plates, brain surgery to stop the bleeding of the carotid artery and loss of vision in her right eye including the inability to open her right eye lid. Ashley still has a fractured piece of skull lodged inside of her brain that stopped blood flow to her carotid artery and damaged the optic nerve causing the loss of vision.
If you can, please find it in your heart to help provide Ashley any amount of assistance to help alleviate financial pressure with current and future medical bills, recovery and rehabilitation and the possibility of future surgery to regain her vision and use of muscles surrounding her eye.
We thank everyone for the love and support as well as many prayers and words of encouragement. Ashley is a beautiful and courageous girl who never gives up.
Thank you
