First off, thank you to anyone who just takes a moment to read this. My name is Ashley. I'm a single mother just trying to survive. Anyone who really knows me knows my story and how far my kids and I have come. Last year, this time, we were homeless, living in shelters and hotels. I didn't have a job, but in January, we made a very smart decision and moved to Idaho. Since moving here, I have been able to get work, get a vehicle, and get us into our own place.
Now, this is where it gets serious. At the time of us moving into our new place, I changed jobs, which kinda kicked me in the butt and made me fall behind on some bills. Honestly, this is the first time I have had to really do this thing called life alone. I don't get child support from my kids' "dad" because he doesn't want to pay, plus he works under the table. Nor do I get help from any of his family. I am doing this alone, and I'm at a point where if I can just get a little help to get me caught up, then I'll be good.
I'm not expecting a whole lot of people to want to help me because, in all reality, I haven't always been a saint. But I am at a point where I am a single mama trying to survive, and I'll be crazy to let my kids and I fall backwards when we have made it this far. I'm doing my part. I start budgeting classes on August 26 to teach me how to survive without an abusive man. So please, if anyone could just take a moment to put yourself in my shoes and understand this is not easy for me. I work a full-time job, I have picked up extra shifts, and I'm doing the best that I can. All I need is just a little pick-me-up so anyone could find it in their hearts to help my children and I stay afloat. You will be a true blessing to us. I know that God will have our backs either way, but I am honestly so exhausted, so stressed, and so scared to fail my kids when I have already made it this far. I hate having to suck up my pride and do this but ill do anything to make sure my kids are good. Now all I can do from this point is pray and have faith that the good lord will provide for us just like he has been.
