Ashley's Hope

Please Join us as we Fight for Ashley’s Future
At the age of 16 Ashley was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Sertoli Leydig tumor cells. Since then, she has undergone ten (10) separate surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy for re-occurring tumors. With each surgery, the risk of complications has increased. The disease was constantly causing changes in Ashley’s body, becoming very personal in the way others saw her as well as how she viewed herself. Now at the age of 23, Ashley is faced yet again with multiple tumors and limited treatment options. This witty, kind, and overwhelmingly generous young lady has vigorously fought for nearly half her life, and it’s time we started fighting for her too.

About Ashley
Ashley is an upbeat soul that loves to dance, laugh, and brighten anyone’s day if given the chance. She is fiercely dedicated to her friends and her mother, who raised her on her own to be the amazing woman she is today. Ashley is also a very independent and resilient individual that will do whatever she can to not burden others. She currently works three jobs almost around the clock to cover past medical expenses and current bills. Despite all this, she has a smile on her face when she walks from one job to the next, getting little to no sleep in between.

Overview & Treatment
Sertoli Leydig tumor cells account for less than 0.5% of ovarian tumors, and there is still so much to be learned concerning this disease. If you would like to know more about Ashley’s diagnosis, please follow the link: https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/9967/sertoli-leydig-cell-tumors

After being treated for close to ten years in Arizona, Ashley’s physicians are running out of options. Since new tumors are present and there is an increased risk associated with undergoing an eleventh surgery, her physician is recommending her to enter a clinical trial being conducted at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. This may require Ashley to live in Texas for the duration of the clinical trials, and would include the following expenses:
- Housing
- Meals
- Transportation
- Medical costs associated with the trial

At the moment, Ashley is unable to take up this opportunity due to enormous financial strain already on her shoulders. Despite years of treatments and enduring the consequences of cancer, she is not able to support herself and still get the help she needs to thrive.

How You Can Help
No matter if it is big or small, we need all the help we can get to change Ashley’s life.
Share the link on social media, at work, school, or wherever possible
Donate whatever you can- there is no donation that is too small!
Reach out to others that may have resources- If you know anyone in the Houston area that may be able to help with transportation, setting up living arrangements, or any other ways that may be of assistance, please feel free to contact us through this website.
Keep Ashley in your prayers

Many of us will not know what it is like to fight for our lives, especially for years at a time. Not only has Ashely done so, but she has done her best to carry that burden herself so that she did not inconvenience others. There will never be enough words to describe how special Ashley is to the people that love and care for her, but we hope to show her in action. Please help us relieve this burden from this sweet girl and provide her the chance at a future she deserves.

About the Page
This page was made by Ashley’s closest friends and loved ones as a way of giving back to her just a small part of what she has brought to us. All funds provided through this page will be going directly to Ashley to lighten her burden of medical bills and get her to Texas for the care she needs.

Thank you for taking the time to  learn about Ashley's story, and loving her as much as we do.
