Ashley Lynch's Journey to Healing

Our good friends, the Lynch Family of New Boston, really need our help.  You might know Ashley as a graduate of Goffstown High School or as an Occupational Therapist at Elliot Hospital.   Ashley has recently been diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease.  For those of you who know Ashley, you already know that she is one of the kindest, sweetest, most positive people in our community.

Her health has declined rapidly over the past couple of weeks. She has a PICC line placed for medicine and fluid, and still receives intra muscular injections of antibiotic. She has developed many tic's brought on from the chronic Lyme. Most recently she has started having seizures, several each day. Her speech has declined and her ability to perform even simple task like even using a Phone is getting more and more difficult because she has constant tremors.
Still thru it all, she is fighting for her life like the fighter she has always been. She continues to smile and says "I'll keep fighting my ass off" in true Ashley fashion.
Eddie has been a great support for her, as she needs round the clock care with her IV and med's, and of course needs help with toileting, bathing as well as eating etc. She is in bed most of the time with visiting Nursing care for her dressing changes and IV care. She has to be transferred everywhere by a wheel chair as now she doesn't have the right trigger from her brain to help her walk. Family and friends have also been amazing in aiding with her health and ADL's. She is barely able to eat because one of the side affects from all the medications has caused her to have gastritis.
After much research and collectively as a family, Ash has agreed to enter into a treatment program that we are hoping will save her life. It's called Envita and is in Arizona. We welcome you to research the this state of the art facility. We have chosen this route because it seems to be specific to Ash's neurological Lyme symptoms. She leaves this week and treatment can not start soon enough. As of now, this treatment is not covered under insurance, although the facility is committed to helping find ways with insurance, but they are not making any guarantees. This morning she, along with many family/friends, attended the New Boston Fire Dept. breakfast to thank so many supporters before she leaves. We've attached some pictures from that. :)
She and Eddie are selling everything -- their household items, vehicles, everything in hopes to just get there. The financial contributions you have all made will certainly be a blessing.

The following is an excerpt from a post her mother, Amy Lynch put on Facebook recently.

" Ashley is a strong, beautiful young woman with the most amazing sense of love, empathy and perseverance. She has experienced a plethora of health-related issues throughout her life but it now seems she’s had Lyme for that length of time too.  As time has gone on, especially over the past 2 months, Ashley has experienced significant limitations in her ability to complete her ADL/IADLs (for my non-therapist friends, this includes self- care tasks like dressing and hygiene, home management skills like cooking and cleaning, work, community mobility, and driving). Her fatigue levels make it nearly impossible for her to get out of bed most days.  She is on an incredibly restricted diet (not that she often feels well enough to eat) and takes over 20 pills per day. "

Also some word from her Ant, Jennifer Judd:

" Ashley Jennifer Lynch has had a tough life.  She's never really felt well, having strange ailments her whole life.  Ashley has never given in to any sickness, even after 5 back surgeries!  She's persevered and always has a positive outlook.  Ashley has been such an inspiration to so many throughout her life--coaching others, mentoring, and reminding others constantly that life is a gift.  She's had to work hard in her schooling, but has managed to find her niche in the medical field doing Occupational Therapy.  Her passion to help others and make a difference in this not so easy world, she was just getting started in her career at the Elliot hospital.

Working for less than a year, Ash was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease.  Though this explains much of her ailments, it's not recognized as a viable diagnosis with insurance.  Going to a naturopath and being treated is an out of pocket expense.  Ashley is no longer able to work, and has declined rapidly.   For those of you who know Ash, you know how very difficult this is to NOT be working and helping others.  Rather she's at home, unable to even get out of bed without assistance.

Any help or donation made is so greatly appreciated.  We all hope and pray that Ashley will be able to continue to fight and get better. I can assure you that Ashley will pay it forward ten-fold."

Please strongly consider donating whatever funds you can as Ashley could really use the help!  Ashley is now fighting for her life against this deadly, mysterious disease.  Hopefully this community can help by allowing her to focus on the proper treatments and healing, and not be completely burdened by the mounting medical bills.
