Study Abroad Trip to España!

Hola and Hello! My name is Ashley Land and I leave to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain for a semester on August 29th, which is coming up soon! It has been a very exciting and nerve-wrecking experience for me even though I haven't even gotten to Spain yet! I have never been out of the country for such a long time and I will also be away from my college with no work study and no job to sustain myself. I am a first-generation, low-income student with a passion for learning and am currently pursuing a Media Studies major at one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country. I hope to go to Spain and broaden my horizons, get a different perspective of education while taking classes there, have life-changing experiences visiting the different cities in Spain like Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, etc. and hopefully come back fluent in Spanish, which I have been taking classes is since high school. For a girl from the south side of Chicago this is like a dream come true and I can only hope that money is not a big obstacle for me. I have saved some money working over the summer but literally every bit that I can take over with me counts. I would be using money earned here for personal expenses like food, toiletries, personal needs, emergencies, and hopefully to travel to some of the other European countries. If you have the means to donate to this cause please do, even if it is only a dollar.
