Hi family and friends,

I'm reaching out to you because I've started a GoFundMe for our good friend Ashlee and Eric Clark. Some of you might already be aware but Ashlee is pregnant with baby #2. Ashlee and Eric are so excited to welcome little Harper in February
2021.

In September at 20 weeks Ashlee and Eric found out that Harper has a low heart rate and after
many studies they diagnosed that she has a stage 2 heart blockage due to Ashlee’s antibodies crossing the placenta. This happens to 1 in every
20,000 pregnancies so they don’t have a ton of
information on cases like theirs. The team of
Dr’s suggested that Ashlee start taking steroids to help with inflammation and IVIG treatment to help block the antibodies and protect Harper. Ashlee has to get IVIG treatment every 2 weeks until Harper is born and it takes about 4.5-5 hours. Every Tuesday Ashlee has an appointment with the Children’s Cardiologist to have an ultrasound done of Harpers heart so they can make sure that everything is still good and that we don’t see any new changes. Ashlee will need to have a mandatory C-Section at OHSU hospital in Portland, OR which is about 3.5 hours from where they live in Bend, OR. Since She has to deliver at OHSU they need to make monthly trips to Portland to have ultrasounds done and meet with the high risk OB so they can keep track of how both Ashlee and baby Harper are doing. Once Harper is born they will be able to do an EKG on her heart to see if she will need a pacemaker. Doctors have advised them that she will most likely have to stay in the NICU for sometime as well. Exact condition and procedures all depend on how she is doing once she’s born and they can run more tests.

Both Ashlee and Eric work full time to provide for their family. I’m asking for help in raising money for this sweet family to help with covering some of the expenses that they will experience during this difficult time, such as medical bills.
