Ashers Journey

at 25 weeks I was told to get a fetal echo done to look at Asher's heart. Findings were his heart was a little enlarged but the blood flow and pumping was doing fine. They scheduled another fetal echo for 31 weeks; since then it has been test after test.
They found his heart was very enlarged and the blood flow was compromised. Our care was immediately transferred to Hershey Medical to where I was then taken for ANOTHER fetal echo by a pediatric cardiologist.

His findings were anything but good, quite the opposite.
phrases like "ECMO, transplant, death before delivery" were thrown around.

"severe cardiomyopathy with severely dilated left ventricle and severely depressed left systolic function. There is also mild-to-moderate mitral insufficiency, moderate tricuspid insufficiency."

Our care has now been transferred again but to CHOP (Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia) as the chance he will need more help then what Hershey can give him is great. 

Every appointment, every hospitalization, stay home with preterm labor I am not being paid. I have been doing this myself and am in need of help.
