Transplant support for Asher George

TODAY IS WORLD KIDNEY DAY! What are you doing for it?!
This year, I’m too far away from the person I love struggling with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), but I never forget that those precious, bean shaped organs in the small of my back are essential for day-to-day life.
This summer, I am running a half marathon to raise awareness of CKD and funds for my nephew - the mighty Asher Georgie. The money raised on this page will go directly towards supporting Asher and his parents during his kidney transplant - go on, spare some pennies! The funds will help with: transport to and from hospital, parking, accommodation (his family live in a different city to where the surgery is) and some treats to keep him experiencing life as a two year old!
Those of you who know me will know that I am NOT a runner. I have been blessed with short legs and a long body, which mean that long distances are not easy. On top of that, I haven't run since I did 10Km - 6 years ago!
So you can get an idea of what your money will go towards:
£3.20 - Parking (p/h)
£12 - Daily travel to and from the hospital
£12 - Nappies! (Asher needs more than babies without kidney issues)
£50 - Food (p/w) even with bringing your own food in, 24/7 in hospital means you can’t avoid the expensive food courts!
