Please join this campaign to bring Ongoing Relief & Recovery to Gates,  Oregon Fire victims!?!
This is designed to bring Hope and Relief for Asher family victims of the Beachie Creek Fire/Sept 7, 2020 Gates, OR 96346, which then joined with other fires to create "The Santiam Fire" affecting the cities of Detroit, Gates, Mill City & Lions Oregon causing a Federal declared state of emergency.
Project Title: Two Rivers Hope Now

Forestry Department near Detroit

My name is Patti Asher Bentley. My goal is to bring relief anyway I can to the Asher family community members impacted the most from the consequences of these horrid fires. This is going to take time and be an ongoing effort.

Gates Motel

My motivation comes from a tender place in my heart as many family members of mine have lived in this area for 5 generations. Many of my current family and friends have been impacted by this shocking tragedy. The clean up process is going to take years. This area will never be as we once new it to be.
Years of wonderful memories mixed with the sting of loss has brought about a roller coaster of intense emotions for so many of us!!!

Worst hit in our Asher family and friends was my nephew and his 5 year old daughter. The fifth wheel they called home burned to the ground in Gates on September 7, 2020. They barely escaped with their lives, a phone and a wallet.

As reported by a Gates neighbor and family friend on a Portland news channel, FEMA is denying applicants much needed aide.  My nephew just got his denial notice as well. Poverty stricken an under insured, many are hopeless and filled with despair as they try to figure out what to do next.

This campaign will focus primarily on helping these two get back on their feet. Just two days after they lost their home my nephew had both hips replaced so, for this small family the recovery process has been much slower.

Replacing documents destroyed in this fire and relocation are the primary goals. Permanent housing is now a pressing concern for this sweet little family.

Downtown Gates

Thank you to all who have given clothes and food items.   We are not accepting material donations at this time. We are moving forward, as the immediate emergency needs have been met. Affordable housing is a HUGE need as this disabled father struggles to find a solution, at indeed a very dark hour in this families history.

Please help anyway you can, no gift is too small. We can do this together!!

Qualifications:
I have been an Advocate & Chaplain in Clackamas County since 2011. As founder and director at Two Rivers Hope Now, a grass roots movement established in 2012, I have worked hand in hand with this small community that has helped thousands of Portland's houseless and at risk population with; emergency shelter, food, clothing documentation, relocation and general housing.  Funding provided through local Clackamas Counties Small Emergency Grant Programs in concert with private donations, our community has had a huge impact on the disenfranchised. It is only through the power, anointing and strength of God Almighty that we were ever able to be affective.

Our outreach ministry came to a screeching halt in 2020. This year has been difficult on many different levels. 2020 has just kept on giving while shocking our local and state government with catastrophic disaster from the Oregon Fires, especially the Santiam Fire causing our neighbors to become houseless through catastrophic disaster and becoming a Federal State of Emergency.

With past experience and empowered by faith, we expand our focus from local Clackamas County ministry only,  to ministry on a state wide level to those who have been impacted by the Oregon Fires.

Ongoing relief & recovery for:
Oregon Fires
State of Emergency Disaster
Beachie Creek Fire/Sept 7, 2020
Gates, OR 96346, which then
joined with other fires to create "The Santiam Fire".
