Hi! My name is Asha Taitt and I am a 21-year-old creative. My mediums are photography and now videography. I have always had a passion for storytelling and for the past seven years, I have told captivating stories through photography. But I have recently discovered my love for film and with your help I will be able to execute my first independent film. From wardrobe for 6 actors to building a set, I don't have the means to cover a full film budget while attending college. I am asking that you donate whatever you can to make this film possible. Below is the synopsis for my film Garrie. Enjoy!
In New York City everything is Groovy! The foxy women, the smooth players, and of course hair that’s larger than life. Garrie is an ode to 70s love, heartbreak and abuse. Garrie Whitaker is an up-and-coming talk show host of the show Help a Sista Out, who advises women who are having trouble with their husbands and their abusive tendencies. Garrie and her husband Phillip have a love that has lasted 10 long years and with that experience, Garrie has inspired many women. But as the drug dealing scene becomes prominent and a lifestyle of pimpin’ becomes more desirable, Garrie will have to face her own truth.
