Pay It Forward

Hello everyone,

I am writing to you today to ask for a donation to help my friend Karinna Beaver offset medical expenses she will incur for a major spine surgery she recently went through. The surgery is so delicate and dangerous that there are only three doctors in the United States qualified to perform it. The procedure was successfully done at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital Allen Center in NYC. She has a long road of physical therapy ahead of her.  When we went to visit her it was the first time I ever saw her stand up straight and the first time I noticed she is taller than me. She is currently making small strides in recovery with the aid of a walker and physical therapists at the hospital. She will do physical therapy at another branch of the hospital then come home in the middle of the month and continue therapy there. She has a future of large medical bills heading her way.

About Karinna, this is a first for her, because she is always the one who provides help to others. In a small ranch style home she has provided food and shelter for a homeless single mom of five. She did the same for a single military mom all at the same time. She has also provided shelter and monetary support to a list of family, friends, and others including people affected by hurricane Sandy. Now it is time to help a person who always provides help to others. For years she has not been able to leave the house but only for a few occasions to do some needed shopping. The pain was too intense to socialize with friends or attend family functions.  Going through this surgery is a big step for her and will hopefully lead to a less painful rest of her life. Hopefully she will now be able to do every day chores easily and pain free. Hopefully she can now go out and enjoy time with her family and friends.

Please consider helping a person who goes out of her way to help others even when in so much pain she can barely stand.
