Hi first of all I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
For anyone who doesn’t know me my name is Charmaine, I was with Paula who sadly passed away in 2015 we was together for 18 years.
Paula had 4 children when we met. Jordan was the youngest of the 4. 2 of kids had left home but 2 remained at home. Jordan was 6 when we met.
With a broken heart I have to say ...
Sadly Jordan passed away 7 days ago, he was 29.
Jordan was the apple of his mother’s eye, when Paula passed she took apart of Jordan with her.
Jordan struggled at times in life with drugs, being homeless, alcohol and mental health. Jordan was very vulnerable, also he had emotional needs. After living in Manchester most of his life Jordan decided to start a fresh and move to Egremont.
Since living in Egremont, Jordan felt content. Still sometimes struggling but always trying and never giving up.
It was the best choice he made he felt.
Whilst being with Paula Jordan’s mother, years into our relationship we gained special guardianship of Paulas 4 grandchildren. Twins girls aged 9, two boys aged 5 and 18 month old. Jordan was still living at home and played a huge part in myself and Paula bringing the children up.
I still have one of the children to this day, which I hope Paula would be happy and content about.
Jordan was only 29, he moved to Egremont for a fresh start. One of children we had special guardianship of also live in Egremont he’s 20 and he is the next of kin of Jordan.
As a family, we are trying to raise funds toward funeral. It’s so sad for us to say, this still isn’t enough.
We need to ask for help, we are trying and trying and doing all we can to give Jordan a send off he deserves. Jordan never gave up and we won’t give up either.
Any donation no matter how small you may think will mean the world to us as a family.
