ASEAN Animal Law Conference

This event will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand at Le Meridien Hotel from 15-17 December 2018. It will bring together experts in animal and elephant law and policy to help protect our animals. The Conference is supported by Chiang Mai University and the University of New England. This is the first ASEAN Conference on Animals and will look at all options to help improve the lives and well being of animals, with a particular emphasis on elephants in ASEAN.
Our aim is to produce a Chiang Mai Declaration on the Rights of Elephants and take this to the ASEAN Secretariat for further action.
The funds will be used to cover the costs of bringing together scientific and legal experts from the community, NGOs and government and to hold the conference in Chiangmai. We aim to support representation from around ASEAN and China and India.
