Cette maladie n’a pas de traitement à ce jour et c’est pour cette raison que nous amassons des fonds afin d’aider à faire avancer la recherche pour améliorer la qualité de vie des patients qui en sont atteints. Le 29 février 2024, ce sera la journée mondiale des maladies rares. À ce moment, nous serons au sommet du Kilimanjaro avec la belle communauté PTEN. Nous avons comme but de réussir ce grand défi entre autres pour soutenir la cause la plus importante à nos yeux. C’est avec émotion et motivation que nous allons relever ce défi! L'expérience unique d’aller gravir la plus haute montagne d’Afrique permettra à la fondation PTEN d’avoir une belle visibilité et de faire connaître le plus possible notre cause. Nous allons faire l’ascension de ce magnifique endroit en Tanzanie, sur une distance de 72km en 8 jours, pour atteindre le sommet à 20 000 pieds d'altitude. Notre objectif est d’amasser 20 000$ d’ici février 2024! Nous nous engageons à remettre 50% du montant amassé directement à la PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome Foundation et l’autre 50% servira à couvrir une partie des frais reliés à l’ascension du Kilimanjaro, qui sont de 9800$ CAD pour 2 personnes. Tout argent amassé supplémentaire à ce montant ira également directement à la fondation.
