Hi everyone, my name is Jen Colvin. Over the course of 2014 / 2015, our children Dane & Katerina have been in the ER a total of 9 times & admitted 5 times (totaling 5 weeks in the hospital). I lost my job in August due to my needing to be there for my children. Needless to say, our ability to pay for medical bills has been exceptionally hard.
Dane has had 10 surgeries in his short life. He has Mitral Valve stenosis & it's just a matter of time before we will be replacing the valve in his heart. The Dr's are waiting for Dane to grow physically so that he can handle an adult sized valve.
His rare condition is called Jouberts syndrome. He cannot walk. He scoots around on his bottom in our home & uses a wheelchair or walker outside of the house. He communicates via his Ipad & uses limited sign language as he cannot talk. I could write a book just on my amazing little boy. He really is one of those children that once you come in contact with, you will never forget him. He is surrounded by love from SO many people. He is the happiest kid that I know & I feel so blessed to call myself his Mother.
Our Daughter Katerina has her own set of complications. At the beginning of the year, she was diagnosed with Celiac disease & Vasculitis disease.
She is at the end of her year long treatment for Vasulitis & has taken to the treatment exceptionally well.
The dollar amount isn’t important, we ask you give what you feel is in your heart. If you can not help financially, please keep us in your prayers as Dane is getting closer to another surgery. Don't forget to share this page for more prayers.
