I've waited for three years to get this life-changing surgery, and I finally have a chance to do it!
Problem is, while my Medicaid will pay for the procedure itself, the hospital stay and anesthesiologist won't be covered. I need to raise $2100 in advance of the surgery.
Some of it I can get myself, but about $1000 has been difficult for me to earn in time. I'm asking for donations (or even loans!) so that I can arrange for the surgery to be paid for.
If I can't raise it in time, I'll have to postpone my chest surgery until later this year. I can no longer bind, due to lung issues, and as the weather warms up I might lose my ability to pass. I very much don't want to have to struggle through another summer with a visible deformity causing my gender to be taken into question, possibly affecting my safety and my mental health.
If you can spare any donation, know that it will be going directly to the stability and security of a trans person, who would be immensely grateful for it!
