Help Me Move My Family

Throughout this last summer, my family and I have had to deal with a faulty air conditioner in our apartment. We have repeatedly sought assistance from the management as the temperature rose through the day to 92 degrees every single day, and all we were met by were various excuses as to why nothing could be done. For the safety of our three year old and eight month old children, we routinely spent most of our time away from our home.

Finally, three weeks ago, a new unit was finally installed and things became bearable once again. Then, two days ago, the temperatures again began to climb. The unit is clean, the filters are new, it is not frozen, etc. We are at a loss and management is once again stonewalling us. At this point, they've even offered to let us out of our lease.

We would gladly take that out, but we do not have the funds at this time to necessitate a move. We feel trapped and powerless.

We have found several rentals nearby that match our price range rent-wise. We only need help with the various deposits (security, pet, etc.) and the cost of moving itself (truck, boxes, etc.)

I know that Autumn is coming and cool air is on the way, but I'm terrified of putting my children through this all again next year.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
