Arturo's Grey Zone Lymphoma Battle

Arturo is a loving father and a wonderful husband.  He is a wonderful partner that helps me fight many battles in our life at home and from work. He has volunteered to help my high school students by carrying stuff or setting up for events.  He has even volunteered to make BBQ for my students to have as an incentive to come to Saturday tutoring. However, he is currently out fighting a new battle - he was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Grey Zone Lymphoma (GZL), with features intermediate between diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and classical Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL).

Limited clinical data exists on this rare lymphoma, and the ideal management remains uncertain. He's already endured test after test, 2 biopsies, EKG's, bone marrow tap, blood tests, body scans, the insertion by surgery of a port line for his chemotherapy, and much more.  This type of lymphoma is incredibly rare, and due to the lack of studies the best treatment option is not really known.  Fortunately we just got approval for his chemotherapy. His tumors cover most of his upper back, shoulder, and neck.

While he is in this treatment or until they the start the treatment, he has been unable to work because of the severe back and chest pain.  Donations will be used to cover medical expenses and the family’s needs while they are supported on just one income.
