Therapeutic Art Response Team
Currently, we live in pressing times, with anxiety at a high in our society and a recent rise of troubling events. We aim to assist local communities affected by traumatic events with funds and support. To make this happen, we need your help! By donating you are helping to provide a safe space long term, for creative counselling, workshops and calm spaces to be facilitated for children, families, locals, and service providers affected.
Who are we?
We are a large team of experienced Art Psychotherapy professionals and Trainees from the University of Hertfordshire, with a large range of support experiences.
What is Art Therapy?
Art Psychotherapy uses art media as its primary mode of expression and communication. Art is used to address emotional issues which may be confusing, traumatic, and distressing by expressing this in a way that is safe. Recent neuroscience research has shown that using art in therapeutic interventions can further enable clients to process traumatic events.
Help us make this a fulfilling, sustainable support for communities deprived of their basic needs and get back to a place of security and positive well-being.
Thank you!
