Artists in Haiti

Donation protected
Zanmi Beni is an oasis for Haitian children orphaned by the earthquake of 2010. Children of all ages and abilities find a safe and loving home thanks to Partners in Health, and a team of loving women who care for the children. Three years ago I had the chance to visit Zanmi Beni with a group of 12 artists. For a week we danced, laughed, and played with the children of Zanmi Beni. By the end of the week the children had given us each the name Beni, which in Haitian creole means "blessed", but to these children, who all share the last name, it means family.

Unfortuantely, the trip only lasted for three years. To the kids, the week the artists came was "happier than Christmas". I was broken hearted not to return, so I decided to create my own group of artists to take with me. This May, 12 young artists are going to travel to Port-au-Prince, Haiti to be with these kids. To sing with them, act with them, dance with them, and perform with them. As young adults it is hard to find the funds for plane tickets. We are lucky enough to have a sponosor for the trip, but for some of us college students even the ticket alone is a struggle to pay for. Please help us bring a week of joy to very deserving and loving haitian children!
