Artist Loses Everything Amidst Health Crisis

Alex Talley is a hardworking and creative professional artist whose kind and vivacious spirit shows through even while she struggles with chronic illnesses. Since moving to her current apartment, her health has grown progressively worse. Her doctor recently recommended her apartment professionally checked for mold. The results came back as so severe that the apartment is not fit for habitation.  In addition to the health struggles that have worsened over the last few years due to the toxic mold, Alex now faces not only having to move, but having to throw away almost everything she owns. To insure her health improves and that no mold follows her, protocol requires that she throw away anything porous the mold spores have infiltrated. Clothing, shoes, furniture, books, keepsakes, art supplies she needs for her profession-- all of it and more have to be thrown out, or put through a rigorous and expensive cleaning process. It's kind of like losing everything to a fire, but having the emotional trauma of having to burn it all yourself. Alex loves and gives so much even when she has little energy to do so. If friends and family can give a little back, it will help her get back on her feet again to at least re-purchase all the necessities she needs during this crisis. The fundraising bar has been set to enable her to purchase furniture, clothing, and art supplies for work in particular, and any extra can go a long way to help her cope with this heartbreaking loss.
